May has been deemed Mental Health Month by Mental Health America. According to a recent study, 1 in 4 people suffer from a mental illness or mental disorder. There has been a stigma attached to mental illness that is not warranted, and Mental Health Month works to breakdown that negative connotation.

1 in 4 people suffer from mental illness or mental disorders which can cause havoc for families and loved ones. When mental illness is not handled or dealt with, many problems can result—problems which do not have to be if they are addressed and diagnosed.
