Last month, I took my daughter to Florida to celebrate her birthday at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. But thanks to my best friend who joined us on our Orlando trip, we were also able to visit Sea World since she had discount passes since she is a Sea World season ticket holder. We ended up spending a full day at Sea World Orlando, which was the first visit for me as well as my nine year old. What a great way to spend a birthday!
I didn’t know what would be waiting in store for us at Sea World, but I knew that I had to see Shamu. I had no idea that there was so much to do at Sea World Orlando. They had tons of shows, rides, and entertainment. The Chicklet loved taking in the sights as well as enjoying the shows, more specifically Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island and A’Lure, The Call of the Ocean. I love how interactive the shows are!
But let me tell you—visiting Florida during February can be tricky. It was a tad bit cold and windy and as the sun began to set, we froze! We had to wait until after 6 to see Shamu Rocks (because we couldn’t go to Sea World without seeing Shamu), and were quite cold waiting in the auditorium for it to start. Of course, the cold was worth it because Shamu Rocks was indeed entertaining and fun.
Here are a few pictures from our epic visit to Sea World Orlando:

Make sure you wear comfy shoes to Sea World Orlando, since you will be doing quite a bit of walking. Also, download their smartphone app, which has maps, information, and more to make your visit a memorable one.
We had a ball and can’t wait to visit again one day soon!
