The first full week of school is now in the record books and The Chicklet is enjoying her 3rd grade class thus far. School shopping this year was a little interesting, because my daughter is growing by leaps and bounds and becoming quite the young lady. She is also growing out of her clothing faster than ever.
My usual go-to places for buying The Chicklet’s school clothing has always been Justice for Girls and The Children’s Place. This year, I decided to take advantage of the many sales I saw at both Gap Kids and Old Navy, allowing me to buy many items without spending a load of money.
Below is a rundown of each outfit The Chicklet wore during her first week of school. Each outfit is under $49 (not counting the shoes).
First Day of School: Gap Kids
Gap Kids London t-shirt
Gap Kids t-shirt and skirt
“I Love My Shoes” Gap Kids t-shirt
Old Navy Love Rules dress and polka dot leggings (I’ve rubbed off on her!)
5 days, 5 fab outfits that can be interchangeable and worn with other items.
Who says kids can’t be both cute and fab on a budget?

So cute! We’re fans of the Old Navy sales as well. It looks like you two really got some great deals, and styles. She’s such a cutie pie!

Amiyrah,
She had such a great time during our makeshift photo shoots each day before school. She is also getting to the age where she wants a say in what she wears each day, so it’s been interesting trying to marry her style with mine. Thanks for commenting!

She’s adorable & stylish.
I’m so jealous of all the cute fashions there are for girls. The selection for boys is so limited. I have the hardest time finding things in his size.
We’ve had a few gifts ordered from us at Children’s Place that were a great quality too.

Joyce,
People used to say that I dressed my son like Carlton Banks from the Fresh Prince of Belair. I used to love to dress him in sweaters, cardigan with patterns, overalls, and button down shirts. But agree, it’s hard to be really creative with a little boy. I sure tried, though 🙂
