Last night’s Grammy Awards were full of fab glam, Hollywood A-listers, and musical elite. It was a somber affair due to the untimely death of Whitney Houston, but stars pulled through to celebrate her music and honor those who released great music over the past year. In terms of fabulous fashion, this year’s Grammy was not up to par with previous years and I was a little disappointed in most of the looks that I saw on the red carpet.
There were a few standouts, however, that managed to catch my eye during the Grammy red carpet. Thankfully, these looks saved what was shaping up to be a huge fashion miss for the 54th Annual Grammy Awards.
Here are my choices for the Top 5 Most Fab on the 2012 Grammy Red Carpet:
5. The UK songstress that is Corrine Bailey Rae was sizzling from head to toe with her sideswept curly locks, bold red lip, and black dress with texture and form. Corinne was bold, yet stunning, on the red carpet and she was one of my favorite looks of the evening. Her gown was designed by Project Runway winner Christian Siriano
4. Singer Alicia Keys chose a simple black dress designed by Alexandre Vauthier for her Grammy look and it worked. Accented with a gold “necklace”, the look was basic, yet fabulous.
3. Rihanna (the wig nothwithstanding) brought her A game last night in a slim fitting Armani black gown that showed off all of her assets. With a plunging neckline and thigh high slit, Rihanna made her “bad girl” persona look chic. Loved her dress and makeup as well as light, accented jewelry.
2. Country singer Carrie Underwood looked absolutely amazing in a white beaded gown with small train. Her makeup was flawless, her hair was glamorous, and she looked like the epitome of Hollywood glamour. Uber fab!
1. It was indeed Adele’s night on the red carpet and inside the Staples Center, where she won 6 Grammys! Adele was flawless from head to toe, her newly lightened tresses really goes well with her look. In her Giorgio Armani Couture black beaded gown, she definitely ruled the red carpet and I am so happy to have her back singing again!

Many of the singers look so much better on the red carpet than they do in their performances. I understand it’s glamor vs performance. But I’m not crazy about the weird outfits. I like the classy dresses, like in the pictures you posted.

Thanks, Greg for your comment. And I agree with you. Some of the stage get-ups were more costumey than anything. I prefer the “Hollywood” glamour on the red carpet. I need to check out your site! 🙂
