Guess Who’s in the August Issue of Glamour Magazine? ME!
Back in April, I was contacted by a writer from Conde Nast, the company that publishes Glamour, regarding my blog post, My Boss Takes Credit for My Work. The writer asked me to tell the story behind my post and the example I gave in the piece, and after a few emails back and forth, I was told I may or may not be included in an upcoming issue of the glossy magazine.
Making The Most Out Of Your Gynecological Visit
I do not enjoy going to the gynecologist. It’s awkward, uncomfortable at times, personal, and invasive. But it is something that must be done at least once a year to make sure that everything is okay with my body.

After attending many conferences over the last year or so, I consider myself to be a conference veteran. I have a boot camp type of ritual that I go through before every conference to make sure that I have everything I need, especially since most of the conferences I attend are in different cities, and I am not able to go back home and retrieve what I left.

The Cube Style Icon: Lena Horne
When legendary actress and songstress Lena Horne passed away last year, I was overcome with sadness. My grandmother was a big fan of hers and I grew up listening to her records and watching her in movies like Stormy Weather and The Whiz.
Why am I being judged for watching Basketball Wives?
The ratchetness that takes place on the show between Royce, Evelyn, Jennifer, Tami, Susie, Meeka while being puppeteered by show producer Shaunie O’Neal, is a little much at times. But after a long day or bringing home the bacon and frying it in the pan, the entertainment value I find in the program is enough to keep me watching.
