I adore fall and winter. There are so many more options during the cooler months where clothes are concerned—I love layering and winter is the perfect time to layer. I also love a mean pair of boots and a cute coat. When I first moved to the midwest from Florida, I hated coats, but now they have become something that I have fun with each year. My coat collection is becoming just as expansive as my shoe collection.
Here are 5 must haves for your winter wardrobe:
Boots
A great pair of boots does your body good. I am so serious! Boots are one of my favorite footwear, and there are so many options. High heel, low heel, flat, mule, clog, booties, Ugg, peep-toe…the possibilities are endless. I love boots and all that you can do with them. They are a must have for your winter wardrobe.
Scarves
I have so many scarves that I am running out of room to store them. Scarves are a great accessory that can play-up any look. And there are so many ways to tie them that you can never get bored with a great scarf.
Leggings/Tights/Jeggings
I love leggings and tights and now jeggings as well. Slick, tight, and playful, they can play down or dress up any look. And they are comfortable and can be paired with a cute blouse, oversized sweater, or a stylish blazer. Whatever your choice, leggings, tights, and jeggings can give you so many choices for your winter arsenal.
Hats
Hats have become something that I use to put a new spin on an outfit. You can find me wearing a beaded beret, a newsboy cap, or a plaid number. Whatever the style, I love to rock hats in the winter and they bring not only a new dimension to your outfit, but keep your head warm during the cold months.
Blazer/Wraps
A nicely cut blazer or swing wrap is the perfect accessory for your winter look. Blazers give a timeless feel to your outfit and a swing wrap is all the rage these days. Wear it with a pair of worn jeans, a pair of boots, and a hat, and you will be funky fresh and not status quo. Having a few blazers and wraps in your wardrobe is a must for the winter months!
These are my 5 must have items for your winter wardrobe. What are yours?
