I absolutely love Fall for a multitude of reasons, but I especially enjoy it because it’s the time of year where I feel I can be my most stylish. Riding boots, jeans, layers, and tailored blouses give you a classic profile and can all be worn dressed up or down. The milder weather lets you play with a variety of looks, and pumpkins pretty much go with anything.
In order to get you ready for autumn, I am sharing Five Fall Style Trends for Working Moms that can have you feeling both comfy and stylish, without skipping a beat.
1. Hats and accessories
Fall was made for hats. I love to wear them, as they can help with making a bad hair day better AND keeps you warm, too. There are so many stylish hats out there, that I am beginning to accumulate a nice collection.
Also make sure that you accessorize. Statement rings, glasses (aviators are my go-to), belts, bangles, and scarves all make for great Fall style.
2. Don’t be scared of prints
I’ve never been scared of animal prints and things of that nature, but I have a few friends who always applaud me for being so “vibrant” in my fashion choices. I always tell them that they shouldn’t be scared of prints, either. When worn well, they can make a statement.
The key to wearing prints is to not overdo it. When I wear prints like the one seen on this dress, I am usually understated in other areas. My shoes and accessories are always basic, as I don’t want to look too “busy” and all over the place. Pick patterns that flatter–dresses are a great option for that. You can also pair a print blouse and pair it with a pair of slacks or a skirt.
3. Get a good blouse
I love blouses during the Fall, as they are so versatile. You can pair a striped blouse like the one you see here with a pair of slacks, a skirt, or jeans, like I did. Long sleeved blouses and shirts can be tucked in and the sleeves can be worn rolled up if your are having an Indian Summer.
4. Pair bold with muted colors
Fall has so many vibrant hues like orange and red. Why not couple them with a muted beige or brown for maximum effect.
5. Switch up your bag style
During the summer months, it’s a less is more approach to bags and purses, as you see more smaller bags made with straw or other materials.
For Fall, bags are a huge part of your overall look, so switch up your bag style. Opt for bold colors, or get a larger bag that can double as a tote for work.
I hope that my list of Five Fall Style Trends for Working Moms will give you the inspiration you need to showcase your personality during this amazing season.
