My Blackberry ‘Chloe’ is like my Lois Lane to my Clark Kent. My Robin to my Batman. My Mark Anthony to my Jennifer Lopez. I am sure you get the drift. For over five years, I have been a continued Blackberry RIM supporter and customer. Despite the “hipness” of the iPhone and the popularity of the Android, me and my Blackberry will never part. Our President carries a Blackberry (and all of the White House staff) so if it’s good enough for him and his staff, then it’s good enough for me!
Why am I so hooked? I have no idea. I guess the BBM feature is the major reason. Most BB’ers use their BBM more than they text. Of course I love getting email on my phone (I have over 10 emails accts on my 9700, womp womp) but now all smartphones allow email on their units. The BB camera is the best on the market (yes, even better than the new iPhone cameras. The quality is bar none, and its had a flash on it for years, something iPhone just began doing). I don’t do anything without my Blackberry. Is it perfect? No. But any electrical device on the market has some quirks—I LOVE my BB and wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Interestingly enough, my BB’s current theme is the iPhone theme. LOL.
It’s so funny, because when I attend various social media inclined events and things, the room is filled with iPhoners. I am usually the only BB person in the room. Which is fine with me—why would I want to be like everyone else?
RIM has been getting my money every since 2005. I started with the Pearl and I’ve been upgrading every since. Now I have Chloe, my 9700 Bold and she is all the phone I need.
Did I tell you I LOVE her?
LOL. Sorry to gush so much over a PHONE but this is serious for me! Blackberry rules.
Comment away. I am sure there are plenty of you who want to debate me. Feel free…

LOL. You named your phone? That’s a first. Usually people name their cars. Well, I just became a fan of BlackBerry RIM this past May when I was eligible for an upgrade and like you, I LOVE my BBM. I like the fact that I can connect all my email accounts (I have 8) to my phone, so I can always check email when I’m on the go. I thought about getting an iPhone, but I don’t have AT&T as my wireless provider and I thought about getting the Droid, but the Google apps would have been of no use to me. So, I settled on the BB Storm 2 because I wanted the touch screen and plus I could keep my VZ Navigator app that I had on my previous phone. The funny thing is I can be sitting at my computer and will check my phone for emails. Go figure! lol.

Aww, that’s lovely. I wanted a Blackberry but my parents bought me an Android for Christmas instead. My mother said she was tired of looking at my planner, it reminded her of an exploded Crayola crayon box with all the color post it notes. I have grown to love my droid. It helps me stay organized and productive! Gotta love technology!!!

🙂 I, too, cannot & will not part w/ my BB. I tried a touch screen & it wasn’t for me. I thought 5 email accounts was a lot… LOL! It’s addicting… I will admit, BUT it’s useful.

I haven’t tried a touchscreen phone yet but with my nails, I don’t think it would be a good match. LOL.

I love your blog! I thought about getting an iphone or an android, but I like my blackberry too much. Besides, I like having a keyboard. Lol
The Cubicle Chick says
Aww, thanks so much for commenting. And yes, #TeamBlackberry must stick together! LOL

ahh…my bb…our relationship is very similar to my relationship with lane bryant…very love/hate..
i have a storm…which i have had for over 2 years now…and i have been debating for awhile now what i will get next..
and since i started off with a touchscreen, the thought of anything else is not appealing…
but for now…yes…i am #teamblackberry all the way….
but for how long?
only time and how much verizon ticks me off will tell..

I have heard mixed reviews on the Storm. And as I commented before, I don’t think a touchscreen device is for me. As a former Verizon customer, I understand your frustration. I left them in 2007 and never looked back. #TeamBlackBerry

I have a love/hate relationship with my BB too. I love my BBM feature and I have nine email accounts on my phone. It only ticks me off when it freezes. I’m like lawd have mercy. But I don’t see us parting anytime soon, although I’m upset that they gave ATT exclusive rights to the TORCH.
