I love a good eatery, especially one that serves fresh, high-quality food that also tastes good. I’ve been eyeing Flower Child in Frontenac, St. Louis’ first and only location for this fast-casual chain. Their slogan, “Healthy Food for a Happy World,” gives you some hints at their vibe. Food can be healthy and create happiness, which was the case when my daughter and I decided to take Flower Child for a spin on a Saturday lunch date.
Here’s my Review Rundown:
Something for Everyone
The menu is impressive, with options for almost every diet, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free. Flower Child also offers paleo and keto options. I couldn’t take photos of the menu board because we were too busy figuring out what we would order, but take it from me: there’s something for everyone.
Flower Child is fast-casual. You order and pay for your food upon eating, take a number, and a server brings it out to you. You can also order food to go, and they offer curbside pickup.

Bright and Light
Flower Child in Frontenac is bright and colorful, offering all the colors of the flower palette. It’s a whimsical, inviting atmosphere with rich hues and vibrant colors.
Refreshingly Tasty
I tried Flower Child’s Chicken Entree for lunch, which had two sides. I selected Gluten-Free Mac & Cheese and Roasted Broccoli. My daughter chose a Flower Child Bowl of Chicken Yakisoba Noodles. Let me tell you that my dish was amazingly flavorful. The chicken breast sliced heartily, was seasoned well, and the mac and cheese with its aged cheddar and parmesan were better than I anticipated. The broccoli was also full of delicious herbs, and the roasting gave it a crispy bite.
I will eat this again.
My daughter enjoyed her bowl, which had abundant flavors but could not finish. She also enjoyed a bite of my mac & cheese, declaring that she would order that next time for her meal.
My portion was perfect, not too much or too little, and I look forward to my next visit.
Priced Well
Our lunch totaled $41.95 for two entrees and two drinks. I’d say it was well-priced, considering the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the service. I recently paid for lunch for a friend and me at Panera, which was around $45.00. It was not nearly as good as Flower Child. I’d say the price is well worth this type of meal.
Flower Child is a gem of an eatery. It offers delicious, up-leveled healthy options at a price point that is worth the experience.
Flower Child has locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.
