I got into cooking when I was in my early 30s. With a growing family, it was less expensive to cook at home, so I began working on my culinary skills in the kitchen and found that I was pretty good. My niche was taking traditional recipes and remixing them to fit our picky-eaters’ needs. It was then that I began investing in cookware. My first “big” purchase then was a Dutch oven; the gold standard for such was and still is Le Creuset.
Thus began my fondness for Le Creuset, the colorful cast iron and cookware that lasts generations. Hand-crafted in France and elegantly appointed, it is the epitome of cookware.

I’ve started a collection of Le Creuset, over the years, but with a few moves and loaning items out to friends and family, my collection needs to be improved. I’d like to start collecting again with the Le Creuset Outlet Store in St. Louis as an affordable option.
I first visited the store when it opened many years ago. I had forgotten how much inventory they had–nearly everything you need is housed in this store, some at a deep discount.
So Many Colors
What Le Creuset is most known for is their kaleidoscope of colors. Currently on their website, there’s over 25 colors available ranging from White to Rhone which is an eggplant color. I currently have a few pieces in Azure, but I’ve been eyeing the Shallot color, which is a lavender hue. No matter the color, you can’t go wrong.

Pros to Help
I’ve purchased Le Creuset online, but recently visiting the Le Creuset Outlet Store in St. Louis, I found that being able to talk to seasoned professionals about the cookware was helpful. If you have questions, or would like an opinion, visiting the store is probably your best bet.
Don’t Pay Full Price
The sales and discounts in-store were pretty deep. There was a set of Casserole and Baking Dishes that were only $35 for the set of three. If you want to invest in Le Creuset, but don’t have the coins, visiting their outlet store is best. You can also save on gifts as well.
Bakeware, Too
Le Creuset is known for their cookware, but they have nonstick bakeware too, and it’s affordably priced at the outlet store location. The set of four pieces that I was eyeing only cost $65, which was significantly reduced from the retail price.
I enjoyed my visit to the Le Creuset Outlet Store in St. Louis and look forward to sharing with you my updated collection soon!
