Welp–it’s official. I am 46.
While I am excited and happy about seeing another year, my birthday this go ’round feels weird. At times, I have to even remind myself that it is my birthday because there’s been so much going on. I’m usually about photoshoots and grandiosity for my big day but this year I had to even remind myself to make sure to take a birthday photo that I could share on The Gram.
It’s not like I don’t have reasons to celebrate. Life has treated me kind this year, and through my son’s open heart surgery and my daughter starting her senior year of high school all during a pandemic, I’ve risen to every occasion. I am blessed and highly favored and I am thankful for each day that I get to see.
I also have a fabulous birthday trip that I should be on while you are reading this. Los Angeles and Palm Springs with sprinkles of Universal Studios Hollywood, desert, and fundom will be my destinations for my birthday weekend, so turning up is on the menu. I have so many things to be grateful for. Being with both of my kiddos and my love on this day is especially special.
I guess that during previous years, I thought it was necessary to make more of a fuss for my day of birth. This year after all that has been going on, I am a little more low-key on the profile. My concentration has been on my family, my work, my clients, my relationship, and not planning a big rollout out for September 3rd.
This is 46–grown, sexy, better, wiser, stronger, and oh so very blessed.
It’s a good feeling.
This is the year that I finally will mark some things off of my to-do list (deets on that soon). In the meantime and between time, I thank you in advance for your birthday greetings and well-wishes. As of this writing, my birthday is in two days and I am already beginning to get mad love from many of you.
You are appreciated.
Here’s to another glorious year filled with love, laughter, and prosperity.
Cheers!
