Around this time of year, many of us begin to plot our Thanksgiving plans. We get our menus together, make sure that our homes are ready to host friends and family, and we might even buy a new outfit to help us look especially magnificent for our Thanksgiving fete. So much goes into the whole pomp and circumstance of Thanksgiving, but I want to also make sure that I am living my life being grateful for everything I am fortunate to have and experience. I call this practice Thanksliving, because it is about being thankful 24 hours a day, 365 days a year—not just during the holiday season.
Things like having a gratitude journal or using a gratitude jar help me out action behind being thankful. It also helps remind me that even on my worst days, I am still so very blessed, and that is something that I should be grateful for.
In addition to those items I listed above, keeping an ongoing list of things that I am thankful for help me daily keep the goodness going despite the chaos and negativity in the world. So I am sharing my list of 100 Things I Am Thankful For to encourage you to also create a list and perhaps carry or keep it with you as a physical reminder of how being thankful and grateful can propel you in ways that being pessimistic and ungrateful can’t.
