Find out the 2018 Sales Tax Holiday Dates for your states and what is covered.
Can you believe it? It is almost that time of the year again! It seems as though my daughter just got out of school, and now it is time to start preparing for her to go back. Shopping for back to school can be expensive, especially if you have more than one kid in school. It helps to be able to save a little bit by knowing the 2018 Sales Tax Holiday Dates so you can get what’s needed without breaking the bank.
Sales Tax Free holidays occur in many states, often around Back to School time to help parents with the cost of BTS shopping. In most instances, it takes place over a weekend or two to three day time span. You can purchase items like clothing, school supplies, and some tech items like computers and laptops without paying sales tax. This can really help when purchasing big ticket items (and if you don’t have a child, you can still get the discount on these items).
You can check out my list of 2018 Sales Tax Holidays by State. It gives you the dates, what is covered, and more. In some states, this includes things for your home as well.
Some states like California, New York, Illinois and Georgia do not have Sales Tax Holidays.
