According to Punxsutawney Phil, we’ve got six more weeks of winter. And while I am currently basking underneath a blanket with a space heater nearby, all’s not lost. There’s an easy way to turn this negative into a positive.
I grew up watching my Grandma and other adults in my family drink hot toddies. This essential wintertime adult beverage not only can help with aches, pains, and other ailments, but is also can be a nice warm pick me up after a long day at work.
This winter, I’ve been perfecting my very own hot toddy recipe after receiving a few mini-bottles of Khor Vodka, a gift from the brand. Not being much of a drinker, I thought that it could go to use in a warm beverage.
Cue my Homemade Happy Hour Hot Toddy Recipe featuring Pepper Honey Hot Vodka from Khor.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Black tea bags
- Honey
- Pepper Honey Hot Vodka
- Lemon
To make a cup as seen in the photo, prepare your hot tea like you normally would. While tea is still hot, add 2 ounces of Pepper Honey Hot Vodka. Stir, and then add a tablespoon of honey and a fresh lemon slice.
That’s it!
You can make it even more festive by adding a sprig of cinnamon or a stem of fresh rosemary.
The result is smooth, tasty, and perfect for a drink after work or during a cold winter afternoon. I especially like to use fresh honey from Eckert’s Farm as it really adds a sweet dimension to the drink.
The Pepper Honey Hot Vodka gives the hot toddy a nice kick and hits all the right savory notes.
This is not your dad’s vodka!
