Find out when your state is participating in the 2016 Sales Tax Holiday and what is covered.
In just a few weeks, many of us will be preparing the kiddos for Back to School. Being as how it can be expensive buying everything that they will need for the classroom, I like to save some coins by participating in the Sales Tax Holiday here in my state of Missouri.
Sales Tax Free holidays occur in many states, often around Back to School time to help parents with the cost of BTS shopping. Oftentimes it takes place over the weekend or two to three day time span. You can purchase items like clothing, school supplies, and some tech items like computers and laptops without paying sales tax. This can really help when purchasing big ticket items or buying for more than one child.
You can check out my list of 2016 Sales Tax Holiday by State and see what’s covered. Some states also offer sales tax holidays for items for your home as well.
