Valentines Day is almost here. So what’s better than putting something together for your sweetie? We all can appreciate a dinner and night on the town to celebrate, but how about a gift that comes straight from the heart? My DIY Valentine Jars are a fun and unique way to express your love while giving you tons of options to personalize it for your relationship.
All you need to make the DIY Valentine Jars are the following:
- Glass jars with lids
- Construction paper
- Scissors
- Labels (regular ones of chalkboard ones like you see in the photos)
- Confetti paper
- Chalkboard pen (optional)
This is a pretty straightforward DIY craft without much fuss. Simply fold the construction paper and cut out small hearts (you should get 4 or 5 hearts per page), then use them to make personal valentines by writing on them.
You can create your DIY Valentine Jars to fit your loved one’s style. You can select My Funny Valentine and fill the jar with funny memories the two of you have made thus far. Or you can label one How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count the Ways and fill it with valentines that give reasons why you love him or her.
And who says these DIY Valentine Jars just have to be for your Boo? You can use them to share with your kiddos by filling them with inspirational quotes or sayings. Use your creativity to truly make this a memorable gift.
What’s more, the jars can be kept year after year as a symbol of your love. They also make awesome decor for your mantle or V-Day area in your home or office.
The thing is to be as innovative and clever as you can to make this something that your valentine will treasure forever.
The jars seen in these photos were purchased at Target’s Dollar Spot, but you can also get similar ones at Michaels and at The Dollar Tree. The jars should cost no more than $5 each per jar.
