Disclosure: As a chosen Hampton by Hilton Ultimate Seekender, I am sharing travel tips and information as a compensated influencer.
As a participant in Hampton by Hilton’s Ultimate Seekender campaign this year, I’ve learned that travel isn’t just about getting from point A to point B. It’s about seizing the weekend and creating moments that will last a lifetime. It’s not enough to just hop on a plane and fly to your destination. In order to be a true Seekender, one must do things that they’ve never done before while charting new territories and making new memories. Hampton by Hilton’s latest mission is to help people curate the best travel experiences that they can by offering affordable accommodations at all of their locations far and wide.
If you are traveling this holiday season, you are amongst millions of holiday travelers who are looking forward to having the best time during the most wonderful time of the year. Being a Seekender can help you take the canvas that is your travel itinerary and make it the best time of your life.
Here are a few tips to help you become a Seekender during the holiday season with Hampton by Hilton.
Don’t Plan
It’s good to have a blueprint for your holiday excursion, but every moment doesn’t have to be planned. Allow yourself to truly enjoy the moment while taking everything in. Have pockets of time in your itinerary where you just go with the flow, being spontaneous and free. You will thank me later.
Use Your Vacation Time
In a Hampton by Hilton survey, 68 percent of Americans would rather embark on a bucket list trip than get a big promotion. This means that getting away and traveling is an important event for working professionals. So make sure that you utilize your vacation time given to you by your employer, especially if it is on a use it or lose it basis. Don’t feel guilty about taking a trip during the holidays—you deserve it.
Avoid Peak Travel Times
During the busy holiday travel season, the airports and highways will be full of other travelers. Think about taking the red eye when flying to avoid peak travel times. Also, avoid rush hour commutes by leaving earlier in the morning or after the rush hour in the evening.
Here’s some additional information shared in Hampton by Hilton’s recent survey:
· 82 percent of working Americans would travel for a year without pay if money weren’t a concern
· 49 percent of Americans rank “traveling to other countries” above buying their dream car
· 51 percent would prefer a trip that takes them out of their comfort zone
· Nearly one half of respondents agreed that the best thing about experiencing something new is making a lifelong memory, followed by sharing it with family and friends, (28 percent) and discovering something new (22 percent).
So there you have it. You can be an Ultimate Seekender this holiday season while having the time of your life.
