I’m in The Big Easy for the 2015 Essence Festival #EssenceFest

Last year, I got the opportunity to attend the 2014 Essence Festival in New Orleans as an ambassador for Colgate (if you want to go down memory lane with me and check out my experience at last year’s Essence Fest, click here). It was my first time at the long running event, and I had such an incredibly fabulous time. So this year, I decided to turn up again to promote my brand and have a little fun.

Yup! I’m in The Big Easy for the 2015 Essence Festival.

I am not sure why it took me so long to attend, but now, I don’t think I will be able to pass it up. It is the place to be for the Fourth of July weekend, and has quickly become one of my favorite event to cover (and indulge in).

I will be in New Orleans for the full week, taking in sights and sounds, attending the daytime programs and activities. And of course, there’s sure to be plenty celebrity sightings and tea, so I will most definitely be sharing it with you all on my social media channels, so stay plugged in to my Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. The Essence Fest is a great way to network, get some food for the soul, and have some fun, but if I am truthfully speaking, it is about the concerts. Essence Fest is known for having some of the best and most talented music names to grace their stage. This year, Kevin Hart is bringing his comedy tour to the festival and Usher, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott, Kendrick Lamar, Common, and more are set to hit the main stage during four nights of concerts—so you know it is going to be a good time, indeed!

I want to thank Verizon for giving me some incredible tickets for the concerts—and I will also be bringing you news and information from the Verizon booth, so you aren’t going to want to miss that either.

I’m ready for beignets, beads, and fun in the French Quarter. There’s nothing in the world like New Orleans.
