During Mom 2.0 Summit, I participated in Kia’s Ride and Drive experience where I was able to test drive some of their 2016 models. Whilst getting my drive on, myself alongside many other moms were filmed and asked questions about motherhood and being an entrepreneur. It was the end of the day and I was totally beat after a full conference schedule, and wasn’t feeling camera ready. Despite this, I was selected to be featured in their first video which was released just in time for Mother’s Day called Why I Love Motherhood.
You can spot me in three difference sections of the video which is below. I am a huge fan of Kia and have been reviewing their vehicles for the past two years now, so being a part of their #KiaMom campaign is not only an honor, but a good fit too!
Now that you’ve seen the video that features Kia’s 2016 Sorento, myself and Raijean from SwaRai.com were loaned the 2016 Kia Sedona to use for the 2nd leg of our Arizona trip. To be perfectly honest, I’ve never been the minivan type, so I was rather skeptical about driving one. But lo and behold, driving the Sedona actually wasn’t half bad. And I didn’t feel like one of those moms driving it, either.
My favorite feature in the Sedona? The camera views, which you can use while you are driving. Parking, reversing, and doing other various tasks is a breeze with the camera. I think all cars should come with these.
The 2016 Kia Sedona handled pretty well as we cruised through the streets of Phoenix effortlessly. I felt very safe and secure in it, and although it was only two of us using the vehicle, I loved the roominess of the vehicle.
This is not your mother’s minivan. Nope!
Since this is the first minivan I’ve ever driven, I don’t have anything to compare it to. But I now know and understand that minivans can be sleek and fun and cute, too.
You can check out some pics of the 2016 Kia Sedona that we drove in Arizona.
Special thank you to Kia and DriveShop for the opportunity.
What do you think about the 2016 Kia Sedona?

Congrats on being in the video. So exciting. I’m not familiar with the Sedona, but I drove a Rio about 2 years ago. It’s not a big car, but still quite comfy and ok for doing the weekly shop.

Thanks so much. Judy. I’ve never driven a Rio but I’ve heard it’s a cute ride. 🙂

I never thought I would enjoy driving a minivan but the Sedona is one that I had a fun time driving.
