My last vlog was all about turning 40 this year (if you missed it, you can watch Soon, I Will Be Turning 40–And I’m Kinda Excited).
And I guess you can say that there is a current theme when it comes to the videos I’m recording as of late. While setting up my lighting equipment for my new video recording space, I recorded some video footage to help me get the light right. In doing so, I began talking about what I would tell my 30 year old self. I guess now that I am knocking on 40’s door, I am looking back on my 30’s, and doing some self reflecting. I was just about to dump the video footage when I decided that it would make a quick vlog, and tribute to the last 10 years of my life.
My early 30’s were spent being too hard on myself. They were also a time that I volleyed back and forth between being confident and not loving myself. By the time I hit my mid-30’s, confidence won. But doubt about other things crept in.
It’s not the most lavish video. It’s pretty bare bones, sparse, and simplistic. But I think that in this almost-deleted footage is some of the truest words I could ever speak about my thirties. And about myself.

Now, the question begs: what would you tell your younger self?
