As a frequent traveler and entrepreneur on the go, I am always looking for things that can help me out in a functional way. If I can find something that can help me do multiple things without multiple devices, then I am usually sold. Recently, I was asked to be a part of the Intel 2 in 1 Smart Squad and, in doing so, received a HP Pavilion Laptop with Beats Audio to use and share my thoughts on. And because it’s a 2 in 1 device, it is also a full use tablet as well. I call her my Go Getter—the best of both worlds.
The machine is pretty epic. It’s stylishly red and has cured edges for easily handling. And since it’s also a touchscreen, the device is uber user friendly. Complete with Windows 8, I find it to be a beauty to use. In one motion, you can turn it into a tablet, still being able to access all of your documents and applications. Forget having a tablet that won’t do everything you need it to do—whether you are using it as laptop or tablet, you’ve got what you need. In one machine. I must say, it’s pretty slick. And it weighs 3 lbs and is 0.9″ thick. Sexy.
The HP Pavilion with Intel 2 in 1 is perfect for the mogul, the parent, the busy body, the startup’er—why carry two things when you can carry one that has twice the power of being able to double as a laptop and a tablet?
As an iPad owner, I can say that I like being able to utilize Microsoft Office on my tablet—something that I can’t do on my iPad. For a person who uses Office a lot, the HP Pavilion is a no-brainer.
Here are some more specs:
- 11.6″ screen
- Intel Pentium Processor
- 500 GB Hard Drive
- True-vision HD front facing camera
- Bluetooth enabled
- Intel HD graphics
- Backlit display
One drawback is that it doesn’t have a built in CD/DVD drive. If you are using this device as your primary laptop or computer, you won’t be able to play CDs or DVDs or record them. You can buy a compatible external CD/DVD drive.
And of course, for the music connoisseur, your music and other audio sounds awesome with the Beats Audio speakers.
I am also pretty impressed with the battery life. fully charged, you can get about 8+ hours of usage.
Stay tuned and as I will be bringing you more info and tea of my #Intel2in1 HP Pavilion Laptop.

Cute device!!! I’ll have to play with this when I go to the store! You brought up a great point–having MS Office at your fingertips. That would be so useful! I’m an Apple girl and I’m not a fan of Pages at all.

Erin, you called it. Apple Pages is ugh! I’ve tried but there’s nothing like MS Office. I use Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel all on my iMac and MacBook Air. But I do like the ability to be able to do so also on a tablet that’s also a laptop. I am very impressed.

This would be a great device for my husband, especially with the kick butt speakers. The red color would make it hard for him to lose around the house too!

Yes, the sounds are awesome. He would definitely love it. And it’s red, so it’s a headturner too.
