Spring is upon us and summer is just around the corner. So this means a lot for us beauty enthusiasts as we go through our arsenal to lighten up things with our color palette. Spring and summer call for brighter, bolder hues that are less heavy and more playful. You can achieve this with neons, bold reds, pastels, and sheer colors.
One of my favorite pastimes on Instagram is share photos of my nails after they’ve been freshly done. I always opt to bring my own polish because I get so many bottles for product reviews and such. I often only wear the colors once, which means that I do a lot of beauty swapping.
Check out five spring and summer nail colors you are sure to love. It’s got everything from playful to feminine, to festive. And while some colors (namely the blue and yellow hues) may not be work appropriate, there are other colors that can take you from the desk to a day out with your girls during the weekend. Julep Maven is one of my favorite lacquer lines. This color is called Catrina. I was sent this bottle several months ago, but only recently felt like it was time to rock it. I usually don’t repeat nail colors, but I love this yellow hue, and will be wearing it again sooner rather than later.
Essie’s Hide & Go Chic is a head-turner. I got so many compliments on this color. And while it’s not for everyone, if you don’t mind taking risks while showing off bold colors, this one is for you.
I’m currently sporting this color now from Julep Maven called Marjorie. It’s not as bright as the previous two colors, but still on trend and perfect for the spring and summer seasons. And, it is workplace appropriate in most instances.
This is a hue by China Glaze called Wicked Style, and it is from their Electro Pop line that came out in 2012. This is my first time wearing it (yes, I had it that long), and I LOVE the color after two coats applied. Fun, yet still subtle enough for the workplace.
You can’t go wrong with red. Essie’s hip-enema is the perfect red, and can be worn really during each season. It’s a trusted standby that will always make your nails look fabulous.
Now that I’ve told you my favorite spring and summer nail colors are, it is your turn.
