It has almost been a month since Raijean and I started the travel and lifestyle imprint Around the World in Pink. My nine year old and I do a lot of traveling together. A lot of this has to do with the fact that I think that traveling can be an educational experience for the entire family. My daughter took her first plane ride when she was about 18 months, and she hasn’t stopped flying since. But as she has gotten older, I notice that I have developed some habits that aren’t necessarily good ones when it comes to traveling with her. And after talking it over with a few other moms who ran into the same issues, I felt it was time to confront them head on.

People ask me all the time if I am scared to travel by myself, but of course, the answer is no. I’ve gotten used to it, and sometimes rather enjoy trekking off to a new city alone.
