For the past 30 years, the Christmas in Washington holiday special has been a celebration of the season, White House style. The televised event features singers from past and present, and this year’s program is no exception. Hosted by Conan O’Brien, this spectacle showcases the incomparable Diana Ross, who still gets to show us why she still remains supreme! Other singers on the telecast include Megan Hilty (NBC’s Smash), Demi Lovato (Fox’s X Factor), Chris Mann, Scott McCreery (American Idol winner), and world sensation Psy, who undoubtedly will sing his annoying mega smash, Gangnam Style.
But it’s not just the singers and holiday soundtrack that makes us smile. Fashion is also an integral part of this special. With it being a high stakes affair, attendees must play it safe. But there is still some fun to be had, when you can mix tradition, style, and elegance, with the vibrant colors of the season.
Check out what everyone wore to the affair, and see if they hit the mark. I, for one, loved FLOTUS Michelle Obama’s beige silk dress and Christmas belt accent. President Barack Obama looked swagged out as always, and Joe Biden and his two granddaughters looked amazingly fab. It was hard to get a good look at Malia and Sasha’s attire, but from what I could see, their pale dresses worn with adorable sweaters were fit for the occasion.
The 31st annual TNT Christmas in Washington 2012 airs on TNT Friday, December 21st at 8pm/7pm CST.

I don’t think Diana upstaged Michelle. I actually think her dress looks too young for her. If the bottom were cream/beige or some other muted color, I might have a different opinion.

Danielle, I was being a little sarcastic on Google +, for I know Diana didn’t upstage Michelle Obama, even with the 2 dress changes. I liked the sequin blue number but like you, I wasn’t feeling the second gown. It was way too big at the bottom and would make a nice dress for someone, perhaps younger. It was a bit too much.
