You can say what you want about Rihanna. But when it comes to giving up her spot, she certainly isn’t having it. After releasing the first single, Diamonds, from her 7th album, Unapologetic, Rihanna landed her second Vogue US cover showcasing her trademark short locks and wearing a red hot lace dress. One word comes to mind when I look at this cover—fierce!
I am a huge Rihanna fan and love her free spirit and “I don’t care” attitude. She’s young and has been through a lot—I think that people should cut her a little slack. I don’t think she is behaving in a way that say, Lindsay Lohan, or some other trouble starlets have projected. I think Rihanna is just doing her, and I am okay with it.
Whether she is back with Chris Brown, as the word on the curb says, remains to be seen. But Rihanna certainly is capitalizing on her fame, which right now is at an all-time high. Diamonds is currently my favorite song, and gets plenty of play on my iTunes.
Check out Miss Robyn Rihanna Fenty on the November 2012 issue of Vogue, which hits stores next week. You can also check out her previous two covers—one from US Vogue for the April 2011 issue and one from British Vogue’s November 2011 issue.
