This past weekend, I had the pleasure of taking part in the Wanderlust Festival in Squaw Valley courtesy of Toyota. The festival was all about finding your center holistically with yoga, meditation, art, music, healthy eating, and so much more. One of the highlights of the trip for me was hanging out at the Toyota Retreat tent experience, which served as a tranquil and relaxing oasis for festival attendees, guests, volunteers, etc.
In the Toyota Retreat tent, not only did you have the opportunity to see their hybrid vehicles (including the Prius, Camry, and 4Runner), but you also got to create memorable arts and crafts that you could take with you. Most of these crafts can be made at home with materials you already have, and make for a memorable bonding experience.
My fellow Toyota Women and I made frames, magnets, picture holder paperweight, and we got to mix our own scent that went into a chemical free yoga mat cleaner.
And not only did we have fun and chill out, but we each participated in Toyota’s Giving campaign in which we each were photographed with our “I Will…”, which we shared via social networks. Toyota pledged to give $2.00 to a local charity for each tweet that used the #ToyotaGiving hashtag during Wanderlust. One of the reasons why I love to work with Toyota is because of their philanthropic efforts which help so many communities and causes.
A few of the ladies also got in touch with their “love and peace” side by getting their hair braided by hair stylists. As you can see, the Toyota Retreat tent had everything!
Below are a few photos from the event:

DIY frame using a frame (you can go to the Dollar Store or use one that you already have in the home). Add accents like buttons, material, and studs for a unique look. Create an open ended saying that can be added to the frame and use a dry erase marker so you can change what it says!

As you can see, we had a ball. The Toyota Retreat tent was the place to be!
What do you think of these DIY ideas Toyota used during Wanderlust?
