After almost a month of waiting, I got the word that my First Car Story video ad was edited and ready to share. A few weeks ago, I saw what was not the final edit of the video, and still couldn’t believe it was actually me. It was such an exciting and epic experience to say the least.
At the center of this digital experience is the website FirstCarStory.com. On this site, you are urged to share memories about your first car—you can actually create a replica of your car via animated options as well as add things like music, visual effects, and even your voice. And when you are done, people are able to view it on the site and you can share your video on your perspective blogs and social networks.
Being a part of the whole First Car Story campaign with Subaru has been amazing, and sharing my First Car Story as well as hearing and seeing others create their videos online has been fun. It’s always cool to roll back the hands of time and reminisce on the days when we were younger—getting your first car is one of those memories that always brings warm and fuzzy moments.
My First Car Story video ad will be impacting the web via Glam Media and their prospective publisher sites. Other bloggers also were selected to share their first car stories—it is a campaign that shares many memories of back in the day when having our first car meant more freedom as we merged into adulthood.
Take a look at my video below and let me know your thoughts. I was super duper nervous during the entire taping, but according to those on the set, it didn’t show. Maybe I can transition this into an acting career? (I can dream, right?)

Whatever happened to Princess? Did she break down on you or did you pass her along for someone else to enjoy?
