Reunited and it feels so good. After Paula Abdul left American Idol several seasons ago, the reality competition show was never quite the same. The awkward chemistry between Simon and Paula was indeed evident and missed. But now, we have the opportunity to see them together again as they are reuniting for FOX’s The X Factor, Simon’s creation, and is supposedly the answer to American Idol.
Simon’s original The X Factor UK brought us many singers that we have grown to love including Leona Lewis, and the American version is poised to give American Idol a run for their money, as the judges have more say so as to the contestants songs, dress, etc. It is a full-on singing competition focused on grooming the contestants.
Judges for The X Factor are Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, record mogul L.A. Reid, and singer/dancer Nicole Scherzinger. There will also be guest judges and co-hosts on the show to add to the entertainment value. Steve Jones will serve as host.
And let’s not forget about the contestants, who will truly be a huge factor for the show.
I am not sure what to expect from The X Factor, but with Simon and Paula in two of the judges chairs, I am sure it will be entertaining to say the least. I have been a fan of American Idol for years (although my love for the show has dwindled the last 2 seasons), and the first season of The Voice really impressed me. Reality singing competitions are truly my bag, so if The X Factor is anything like the two previously mentioned shows, then I will be game.
The X Factor premieres on FOX on Wed., 9/21 at 8 EST/7 CST.
Will you be watching The X Factor?

Meh, won’t be watching X-Factor or AI or the Voice for that matter. Not my lane ©TCC. I find my self watching less and less television of late. Maybe one of these seasons I’ll get sucked in but I know it’s not the upcoming ones.
