Now that Spring has officially “sprung”, it’s time to put away the winter clothing items and make way for the wonderful options that spring weather can bring. Warmer temperatures mean less bulky clothing, but since there are rain showers to think about, you have to be mindful of the weather. Add to that brisk mornings and cold nights and spring can be a chore to dress for.
I am not a fashionista, but I know a thing or two when it comes to making a head or two turn while you are out an about.
Here are my 5 must have looks for spring. They are feminine, age appropriate (no Junior looks here), and very haute for Cubes on the move. Check em out!
The “Boyfriend” Shirt:
Otherwise known as an oversize button down shirt, a boyfriend shirt can be dressed up or dressed down. If it’s cold out, you can wear it under a v-neck sweater. If it’s warm, you can roll up your sleeves and wear a pair of riding pants or skinny jeans and enjoy your day! You can achieve so many looks with a boyfriend shirt, and it is a timeless look that never goes out of style. (Go a step further and add some trousers and overalls to have an old Hollywood type of look).

Open Toed Booties
I reported last year about open toed booties, which many of you nixed during the winter because of the cold temperatures. But now that it’s a warmer climate, open-toed booties may be an option for you and add a fun and festive flair to any outfit.

Off the Shoulder Tops
Inspired by the fun and sassy-ness of the 80’s a cute off the shoulder shirt paired with jeans is a great look especially for the weekend. Add a nice tank underneath to give a more layered look and you are ready for just about anything.

Bold Rings
Wearing a bold ring can bring a whole ‘nother level to your look. It can be conversation starter or a crowd stopper. Whatever your pleasure, you can never go wrong with bold jewelry.

Think Pink
Many people shy away from pink because it is a bright hue and can be hard to match, but pink is definitely in this year. Don’t go overboard with it—it can be an accent color to something else you are wearing, or an accessory such as a belt or a pair of shoes. No matter what it is, make sure you have some pink in your life this spring.

I am blessed to be in South Florida where all these spring goodies exist 365. I must admit I’m a big fan of sundresses for spring/summer. I an go free and beachy on the weekend and for work throw a belt and decorate cardigan over it with a pair of wedges allowing me to still be appropriately attired to teach the kiddos.

We are definitely thinking pink this spring! Sun dresses & maxi dresses are another spring necessity for me!

I really like the “Boyfriend” shirt but I never tried before. In my hometown if you dress like this most of the people will think you are a easy girl. I like spring for the beautiful flowers.
