The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles was live and in full effect on Friday night for the 42nd Annual NAACP Awards which celebrated the achievements and success of African Americans in film, television, music, sports, literature, and much more.
I missed the show as I was in Atlanta preparing for the Atlanta Blogger’s Connect event, but I was able to see the red carpet looks thanks to your tweets. There were many looks that stood out and made me take a second glance. But as I am not a fashionista, I leave the true in depth coverage to my Fashion Contributor, Kim of ALOS. But you know I always give my opinions of the most fab and most glamorous on Hollywood red carpet events, and the NAACP Awards were no exception.
Here are my picks for the 5 Most Fab on the 42nd Annual NAACP Image Awards Red Carpet:
5. Angela Bassett
Angela Bassett can do no wrong when it comes to looking fabulous everywhere she goes. Her black gown with textured fabric on the top made for a spectacular entrance. And her soft curls and accessories completed her look fabulously.
4. Sofia Vergara
Hot mama, Sofia Vergara looked amazing on the red carpet! The LBD goes a long way on Sofia, whose curves were complimented by the tight but well fitted number.
3. Keisha Knight PulliamLittle Rudy Huxtible is little no more as Keisha Knight Pulliam has made my 5 Most Fab on the NAACP Image Award red carpet for the second year. This fuchsia number strapless gown with sideswept hair is a fabulous look on Keisha and she works it!
2. Kerry Washington
Kerry Washington is a beauty in white in a long, white gown with short train and puff sleeves. She’s a little wrinkled from traveling to the awards, but still glowed and looked absolutely stunning. Kerry is the epitome of gorgeous.
1. Halle Berry
Halle Berry is a stunner—when it comes to being fabulous on the red carpet, nothing can compare. This printed number with with peek-a-boo keyhole neckline is a little bit sexy and dangerous but still works. No one was touching Halle on the red carpet. Love her!
