This is my second Thanksgiving being celebrated on my blog. Last year, my blog was just a month old on Turkey Day and I was still settling into my unique spot on the web—fast forward to current time and I am as focused as ever. I have so much to be thankful for. This year has been a transitional time for me and my family—after losing my job last December and falling behind on my bills, I never thought we would recover. But we did! I am now making a living with my blog revenue and freelancing for several major websites and life is good. I can see the forest for the trees and my family and I can relax and enjoy while continuing to learn and grow.
I am thankful that I have found my true voice in writing. When I was a young girl in Phoenix, I dreamed of being the next Oprah. And while I am not quite there YET, I am moving forward in a positive direction towards my goals, dreams, and ambitions. And I have been blessed to have wonderful people in my corner who have my back no matter what.
There is nothing on earth like family. There is nothing in the world like unconditional love. And right now, that is what I am indeed thankful for. Throughout my faults, the people in my life still love me and have patience for my wide eyed ideas.
I hope you and yours have a truly memorable Thanksgiving holiday. Make sure you laugh, hug, and love like you never have before. There is so much to be thankful for.

Congratulations on “living your dream”.
I lost my job almost two years ago…and I think I have spent so much time dancing around what I truly feel my passion is and what I need to do that I have accomplished nothing in this time.
Thanks for your inspiration that if we truly commit to what we love we can achieve our goals and see our dreams become a reality.
God bless you!

I am always inspired when someone is doing what brings them joy. Like you & a few others who commented I am dancing around stepping out on faith and being a true dream chaser. I know that all things will come with HIS timing. Instead of standing still waiting for the manifestation I am preparing myself for the next BIG move and homeownership is on the list. Happy Thanksgiving!
