A Pop-Tarts “shoppe” in the heart of Times Square? What will they think of next?
Kellogg’s and their brass decided that the world was ready for a Pop-Tarts dining experience. And what better place to try it out than in the most popular area in the world—-New York City’s Time Square. Customers can nosh on Pop-Tarts “sushi” like creations and suggest flavorful fillings for the Pop-Tart brand. Visitors can also mix their favorite Pop-Tarts flavors into one box to take home (imagine having the Apple frosting in the same box as the chocolate? Yummers!)
The Pop-Tarts World store opened in Times Square yesterday and many brand pundits suggest that it will be a popular outing for those interested in the “Pop-Tart experience”.
Savvy marketing, branding, and social networking has placed the Pop-Tarts brand on a high pedestal digitally:
Brand manager Andrew Shripka says the Pop-Tarts Facebook page is one of the social network’s 20 most popular, surprising even some Kellogg employees.
The 3,000 sq. foot store will be a definite attractor of interested and curious Pop-Tart fans who want to see first hand what a Pop-Tarts dining experience could be like.
Pop-Tarts World already has competition with two other major brands in terms of iconic goodness: Mars’ M&M World and Hershey’s both have venues in the heart of Times Square.
