I absolutely love hosting events, I think it is an opportunity for me to reach out to new people and show my love to those folk that I already know. I had the wonderful opportunity this past weekend to co-host an event in the heart of St. Louis South City neighborhood which served as a tweet-up and recap of the Blogging While Brown Conference that took place last month. Myself along with two other bloggers from St. Louis who attended BWB (@Glamazini and @FeteSociety) hosted the event in order to spread the word about the happenings at BWB and get to know other bloggers and social media enthusiasts in the area.
We met up at the cozy sushi bar, Cafe Mochi, but because of their limited spacing, we had to hold our get together outside. It was massively hot, with a feels like temperature of 111 degrees. But no matter the problem, the show must go on and it did. We had a wonderful time chatting and spreading the news about Blogging While Brown. We also had the pleasure of having Alderman President Reed join our group!
Everyone looked like they were having a good time and I loved the bond many of us formed that afternoon. Below are some pictures taken by wonderful photographer, Vivica Shade. You can follow her on Twitter HERE.
Special thank you’s to the sponsors of our event who donated schwag for the gift bags: Creme of Nature (thanks Heather!), Yelp (thanks Abby!), Nailene, and Charter Communications.
And to everyone who came out to the event, we thank you! It was a pleasure seeing familiar faces and meeting new folk!

Thank you! The pictures, although not as good as you may have wanted them, came out well. You did an awesome job!

Why thank you. This is comforting to know that you liked them. 🙂 I think my brain was just fried from the heat stroke I think I was having and I wasn't thinking right when I was snapping the photos! lol.
