Oh, how I love food and to mix and mingle. When I received an exclusive invitation to the St. Louis Yelp event (thanks Abby!), I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. This month’s event was held at the trendy Latitude 26 Tex Mex in the heart of Dogtowne in St. Louis.
Did I mention that this was a BYOS affair? Bring Your Own Sombrero?
I didn’t know what to expect, but I figured it was going to be oodles of fun since food and good company were available. I met a few Yelpers who spend their free moments reviewing restaurants, events, and other businesses and services. If you are unfamiliar with Yelp, you can learn more about this wonderful website by clicking HERE, as I blogged about this site earlier this month.
The food at Latitude 26 was great! We were treated to fresh cheese queso and guacamole, which I enjoyed and had a full share of. I also ordered a plate of beef fajitas and I loved every bite. I will definitely be visiting Latitude 26 soon.
Not only was there great food abound, but we all enjoyed chocolates from Kakao Chocolate, a locally owned handmade chocolate company made with all natural ingredients. I bit into a piece of divine chocolate with a mix of margarita in the center. This was heaven in a morsel, and I hope to visit them soon at their location and blog about it!
We sampled wine from Chile and other spicy locales and Schlafly Beer was in the house with their crafted beers. We also enjoyed a bevy of mixed drinks!
All-in-all, this event was well attended, well put together, and totally awesome. If you are in St. Louis or plan to visit, please stop by Latitude 26 and tell ’em I sent’cha!
Here are a few photos of the event:
