Back in February, I blogged about my unfortunate Blackberry white screen of death incident. Basically, without getting into too many details, my Blackberry froze and displayed a white screen with the spinning hourglass, and no matter how many times I did a battery pull, it would not go away. After doing a search online, I found out the only way to cure this was to reboot the entire system and reload all of the software. It failed to work. And because the phone was a gift and was not purchased from T-mobile (I didn’t have insurance), I was unable to get a new one.
It was a sad, sad day!
Fast forward to today. I am now rocking my old Pearl from 2007 until I saved enough duckets for a new Blackberry (or someone gifted me…LOL). I have finally purchased a Bold 9700 from T-mobile which should be on my doorstep and in my hands by Thursday. I cannot wait.
What I miss most is being able to open documents on emails, networking and communicating with BBM (Blackberry Messenger), and taking video when interesting things pop off. My Pearl 8200 has hung in there with me, so I don’t want to diss her totally. She placed calls and texts when needed and functioned for the most part as good as she could.
For a fleeting second, I thought about switching to an iPhone when I got the opportunity to try one for thirty days, but I thought better of it. I am a true Crackberry enthusiast, and RIM has my mind, body, and soul.
Come Thursday, you guys won’t be able to tell me nothing!
Are there any other readers who are also Blackberry fiends? Have you had to do without a Blackberry for a day, a week, a month? Sound off and let your girl know!

I would be lost without my Blackberry, however as soon as Verizon offers the iPhone I'll make the switch. I love my Blackberry so much, but I love the simplicity of the iPhone.

The only thing I think the iPhone has over the Blackberry is the applications. The BB IMO is easy to use but it's probably because its useage is engrained in my DNA. 🙂
